I wanted to let our family know, although Matts and I are not able to attend in person, our thoughts, and our hearts are surrounding you now. We wish we could be there, to rejoice in Grandpa's life. We know he'd want us to raise a glass, and remember the good times. Whether he was out in the garden or fiddling with the grapes; smoking bacon (pretty sure he had a deli out of the garage, sausage and a bottle of wine to go!!); concocting new wines; telling you stories; or just being Grandpa; he'd always find a way to make you smile. It was a privillage to have Grandpa share in our wedding, and visit our home. Our friends thought he was a 'hoot', and they send thier wishes as well. Grandma, know that he truly loved you, and was devoted to you. I can only hope that in 62 years Matts and I are as dedicated to each other. Mom and Uncle Mark, a father is a special person, he's the first man that you look up too, learn from and aspire to be. Know that he gave you everything he could, and more. Mandy, James and Jesse, Dedo was a great man, kind and well sprited. We're lucky to have had such a Grandpa who loved us dearly. He was a special man, and will be remembered dearly.
